With feathers, bright colored silks and satins adorned in jewels and hand beaded designs, Lockhart and Associates festival troupe exploded onto the scene of the 2005 Crucian Christmas Festival as the “Elements of the Earth” drawing the attention of onlookers and competing troupes alike.

Inspired by their family Elskoe and Associates who are and have been a major part of St. Thomas Carnival for over 50 years, Lockhart and Associates was innovatively created by three tenacious and talented sisters Tanya, Tisha and Tricia Lockhart who thought they could make a contribution toward the younger generation of St. Croix by staying active in the general development of the Crucian Christmas Festival.

Exceeding their own limits this triad of sisters entered St. Croix’s 2005 festival parade and won 1st place in the category of troupes under 100 assuring them that though they are young and committed to their professional lives, they are also capable of establishing and engaging themselves in community oriented organizations such as this in the place they call home.
